Image and video decision
Tifo
A competent developer can reproduce the core functionality (AI-driven poster generation and multi-format export) in about a week; there are no evident durable moats in the supplied pages that make rebuilding impractical.

Not priced
No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Tifo alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- User enters match details → system selects style/tone → generate image(s) via an image-generation model → post-process into multiple social formats → deliver downloadable assets
What it still won’t have
- Polish and UX of a production SaaS product (onboarding, polished editor, customer support)
- Any proprietary prompt engineering, curated templates and visual assets tuned for sports posters
- Early-customer pricing/program and existing club customer base
- Integrated club feed/API marketplace level integrations and dedicated support channels
- Potential proprietary model or dataset optimizations for sports visuals
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance
First-year cost
No published price
Tifo does not publish a price we could read, so there is nothing to compare against. What building costs is below.

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal SaaS clone of Tifo using Next.js (React) for frontend, Node.js/Express for backend, PostgreSQL for user data, and Redis for short-lived jobs. Use an external image-generation API (e.g., Replicate or OpenAI image API) to render posters. Core features in scope: (1) match input form (teams, competition, date, importance), (2) style-selection logic (prompt templates mapping match 'enjeu' to mood/composition), (3) image-generation integration and retry/error handling, (4) automated multi-format export (1:1, 9:16, X card, YouTube thumbnail) and download endpoint, (5) simple auth (email-based signup) and a billing flag to allow a free tier with limits. Out of scope: building or training custom image models, advanced in-browser editing, multi-team enterprise billing, or polished marketing website. Include comprehensive error handling, logging, and unit/integration tests for prompt generation, API integration, and export pipeline.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Build verdict base78
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- Evidence score86
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
