Image and video decision
SnaptheKnot
A competent developer can reimplement the core QR upload, private gallery, Live Photo Wall, and Google Photos transfer (prior art exists), but reproducing the full paid product experience (fulfillment, wedding-day support, and operational polish) is heavier and would take multi-week effort.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All SnaptheKnot alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Guests scan a QR code → upload photos/videos via a browser page → files stored and surfaced in a private gallery; owner can download or transfer to Google Photos and display a Live Photo Wall.
What it still won’t have
- Operational polish and wedding-day customer support/guarantee
- Pre-made printed QR sign fulfillment and shipping
- Integrated paid marketing, brand trust, and platform reliability at scale
- Minor convenience features and polish such as priority wedding-day support and refund handling
What remains hard
- Execution quality

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal Snap the Knot replacement using Node.js (Express) + PostgreSQL + AWS S3 + React for the frontend. Core features in scope: (1) per-event upload pages and QR code generation; (2) secure multipart uploads accepting photos and short videos from mobile browsers with server-side validation, thumbnail generation, and S3 storage; (3) private gallery UI with per-upload attribution, individual and bulk download, owner management (delete, read-only share link); (4) Live Photo Wall using server-sent events or WebSocket for near-real-time updates; (5) Google Photos transfer via OAuth and Google Photos API to export a gallery album; (6) automated background job for thumbnailing and optional face extraction using an open-source face-recognition library. Out of scope: printed sign fulfillment, paid customer support, paid guarantees, and advanced wedding-wrap video rendering. Include error handling, input validation, unit tests for API endpoints, and integration tests for upload and transfer flows.

- Evidence score63
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
