Linkie
A competent developer can build a useful unbranded link-in-bio replacement using existing open-source projects (e.g., onelink) and standard web stacks, but replicating Linkie’s polished analytics, multi-profile management, integrations, and production polish is work-heavy — so building a narrow self-hosted alternative is realistic, while fully replacing the paid product is only partially practical.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Linkie alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Create and publish an unbranded link-in-bio page, add and arrange clickable cards, and view basic analytics.
What it still won’t have
- Polished, production-hardened UI and UX refinements
- Scale, uptime SLAs, and large-traffic optimizations
- Built-in integrations and automations from Linkie (no-premade connectors)
- Proprietary analytics polish and multi-profile account features
- Support and legal/compliance guarantees
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal link-in-bio app with Next.js (React) for frontend, Node.js + Express for API, and Postgres for storage. Core features in scope: account signup/login (email+password), create/manage one or more profiles, add/edit/delete cards (link, embed, thumbnail), reorder cards (drag-and-drop), public profile pages (SSR/static), click and pageview tracking, simple analytics dashboard (visitors, clicks per card, sources), custom domain verification and HTTPS (Let's Encrypt), and an API key endpoint to manage profiles programmatically. Out of scope: multi-tenant billing, advanced paid-tier feature gating, large-scale CDN tuning, team collaboration UI, and third-party automations. Include input validation, error handling, unit tests for API endpoints, and end-to-end test for profile publish flow. Deploy instructions must include Dockerfiles and a one-command script for DigitalOcean/Vultr or Vercel setup.

- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
