Social media decision
Later
A competent developer can build a useful scheduling+publish+basic-analytics replacement, but Later’s proprietary creator/transaction dataset and influencer network are durable advantages you won't reproduce, so self-hosting only replaces part of the product.

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need — the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship.
What a replacement has to do
- Allow a user to upload media, schedule posts to social platforms, and view basic analytics for published posts.
What it still won’t have
- Later’s proprietary creator & transaction dataset (20M+ creators, 1B+ Link in Bio transactions, $2B+ purchase data)
- Influencer marketplace/network and managed campaign services
- Enterprise analytics, competitive benchmarking, and brand health features
- Built-in AI credits ecosystem and any proprietary EdgeAI models trained on Later data
What remains hard
- Proprietary data
20M+ creators analyzed across platforms.
- Proprietary data
1B+ Link in Bio transactions tracked.
- Proprietary data
$2B+ in verified influencer- driven purchases.

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted social scheduler using PostgreSQL + Python (FastAPI) backend, React frontend, and AWS S3 for media. Scope in-scope: user auth, connect Instagram (Meta) and Facebook via OAuth, upload media to S3, visual calendar UI to create scheduled posts with captions, a worker (Celery/RQ) to publish posts at scheduled times (handle retries and rate limits), and a simple analytics table that records publish time, likes/comments/impressions fetched from platform APIs once after publish. Out of scope: influencer marketplace, large-scale analytics/benchmarking, paid managed services, and proprietary datasets. Include environment config, Docker Compose for local dev, basic error handling (network failures, token refresh), and unit tests for API endpoints and scheduler logic.

- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time — so the same evidence always produces the same number.
