Image and video decision
Knightvision
A technically capable developer can reproduce a useful subset (ad download, transcription, heuristic analysis, and basic video generation) in a few weeks using open models and tooling, but the full hosted product—proprietary generation models, credit billing, and hardened cross-platform ad extraction at scale—would be costly to match.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Knightvision alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Accept an ad URL or text prompt; download source video; extract frames and audio and transcribe; run heuristic/NLP analysis to produce a scored report and UGC replication script; generate a new MP4 from a text prompt or reference image and provide download.
What it still won’t have
- Proprietary video models named on the site (Kling 3.0, Kling Motion Control, Veo 3.1)
- Integrated credit system and hosted scaling/reliability
- Turnkey social-media downloader reliability and cross-platform extraction edge cases
- Commercial SLA, 24/7 support, and proven uptime claims
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted Knightvision replacement using FastAPI (Python) backend, React frontend, PostgreSQL for metadata, Celery+Redis for background jobs, and ffmpeg for media handling. In scope: (1) backend endpoint to accept an ad URL or text prompt and enqueue a job; (2) downloader job using a headless browser to fetch video assets; (3) media-processing jobs to extract keyframes and audio, run Whisper for transcription, and compute simple visual/text heuristics to produce a scored analysis report and a UGC replication script; (4) integration with Hugging Face diffusers (or an external video-generation API) to produce an MP4 from a prompt/reference image and assemble final output via ffmpeg; (5) React UI to submit URLs/prompts, view the analysis report, and download generated MP4s. Out of scope: replicating proprietary Kling/Veo models, multi-tenant billing/credit system, enterprise SLA, advanced model training. Require comprehensive error handling, HTTP status codes, background job retries, unit and integration tests, and deployment instructions (Docker Compose and a minimal cloud VM hosting guide).

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
