Social media decision
Hypefury
A narrowed replacement (scheduling + simple AI post generation + a couple platform integrations) is realistic for a single technical person in ~30 hours, but reproducing Hypefury's full multi-channel automation, polished UX, and advanced automations would require more time and ongoing ops.

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need — the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship.
What a replacement has to do
- Compose or auto-generate a post, schedule it, and publish to connected social channel(s) at the scheduled time.
What it still won’t have
- Full multi-channel, enterprise-grade integrations and ongoing platform-specific maintenance
- Polished UI/UX and gallery of viral prompts/inspirations
- Advanced analytics and reporting at Hypefury scale
- Auto-DM lead capture and Autoplugs automation features
- Any proprietary AI model trained on aggregated user data
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal Hypefury-like app in Next.js + Node (Express) + Postgres + Redis (for job queue). Core features in scope: user sign-up/login, OAuth connect to 2 platforms (choose Threads and LinkedIn), post editor, persist drafts, an 'AI generate' button using OpenAI (or compatible) API to produce text, a scheduler worker that enqueues posts and posts via platform APIs at scheduled time, and a basic analytics importer that fetches likes/impressions for published posts. Out of scope: Auto-DM/autoplugs workflows, converting threads to carousels/reels, advanced analytics dashboards, and multi-channel orchestration beyond the 2 platforms. Require robust error handling for failed posts and token refresh, unit tests for scheduler and OAuth flows, and integration tests for end-to-end scheduling and posting.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- Evidence score63
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time — so the same evidence always produces the same number.
