Image and video decision
GOVIRALDEV
A small technical team can reproduce the core: daily resumable pipeline, ffmpeg mux, and posting hooks are feasible, but reproducing the polished, fully integrated product (private updates, cockpit, and multi-account UX) is multi-week effort—buying the shipped source is much faster.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All GOVIRALDEV alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Generate an AI character image and locked persona; call a video-generation API to produce vertical reaction clips; compose/mux video+music+demo clip and burn captions with ffmpeg; schedule and run resumable worker jobs (cron + worker) and persist stage state in SQLite; post finalized MP4s via platform API (Zernio) and handle OAuth sign-in for accounts.
What it still won’t have
- Private repo source access & bundled updates (vendor delivers private GitHub + future updates)
- Packaged admin UI, deploy-ready setup script and packaged .env examples
- Edge polish: built-in resume-on-failure pipeline, self-migrations, and UX of the shipped cockpit
- Commercial license and included support from the vendor
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a self-hostable AI vertical-video generator in PHP 8.3 + SQLite + ffmpeg with a small web UI. Stack: PHP 8.3 (Composer), SQLite, ffmpeg/ffprobe, nginx/Caddy, a background worker (PHP CLI) launched by cron. Core features in scope: (1) OAuth sign-in and simple account management, (2) create and store an AI character (image + prompt), (3) call fal.ai for video/music and OpenAI for captions with retry and budget cap, (4) ffmpeg pipeline to burn captions and append demo clips, (5) resumable job state persisted in SQLite and a cron+worker that executes scheduled posts, (6) publish via a publishing API client (Zernio-compatible) and allow DRY_RUN mode. Out of scope: training models, multi-tenant billing UI, marketplace features, enterprise compliance. Include .env.example, setup script to initialize DB, error handling, logging, and unit tests for API clients and the job runner.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
