AutoX

A single developer can implement the core Telegram→X scheduling workflow and self-host it, but matching the complete paid product (AI generation, subscription billing, polished limits/SLA) is more work.

Open-source builds that already do this

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All AutoX alternatives, with the arithmetic →

What a replacement has to do

  • User sends post to a Telegram bot → bot stores content and schedule → scheduler posts to X via OAuth at scheduled time → bot notifies user.

What it still won’t have

  • Polished multi-plan billing and in-bot subscription management
  • Built-in AI generation (Grok) for text/image/video
  • Ad-free / premium limits handling and usage throttling
  • Hosted reliability, monitoring, and customer support

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a self-hosted Telegram-based X post scheduler using Node.js (TypeScript), Telegraf for Telegram, Postgres for storage, and a lightweight worker (BullMQ) on a single VPS. Core features in scope: Telegram commands (/start, /connect, /schedule, /queue, /cancel), OAuth flow to connect an X account and securely store encrypted tokens, media upload handling and temporary storage (local or S3), scheduler worker that posts to X API at scheduled times and notifies users via Telegram, recurring post (loops) support, and basic subscription flag handling (free vs pro features). Out of scope: integrated AI generation, in-bot paid billing flow, multi-tenant billing portal, and analytics dashboards. Include error handling for failed posts, token refresh logic, basic unit and integration tests, Dockerfiles, and a deployment README.

How the score was reached

  • An open-source build was found+5
  • 4 cited sources+3
  • Evidence score60

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
