SEO and marketing decision
Submit25
A technical user can rebuild the searchable curated-list site and checkout flow in about a week and a small monthly ops budget; the paid product's durable value is partner-managed backlink placements and brand relationships which are not reproduced by the simple replacement.

Not priced
No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.
$50one-off30 h to build
$20/mo3 h/mo upkeep
No published price to break even against.
No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Provide a browsable/filtered curated list of 30 directories and an optional paid managed-backlinks checkout.
What it still won’t have
- Access to any managed backlink outreach that Submit25 sells (done-for-you placements)
- Submit25's curated reputation/brand and any partner relationships that speed placements
- Ongoing monthly updates handled by Submit25 (you must update the list yourself)
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance
First-year cost
No published price
Submit25 does not publish a price we could read, so there is nothing to compare against. What building costs is below.

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a small web app (Next.js + Tailwind, Postgres or SQLite, deployed on Vercel or similar) that serves a curated list of 30 submission sites. In scope: a JSON-backed database of sites (name, URL, Domain Rating, notes), public browse/search/filter UI, per-site detail pages, CSV/PDF export, email delivery via SendGrid, Stripe checkout for a paid 'managed bundle' product, and a protected admin UI to add/update/remove entries. Out of scope: replicating any outreach or backlink delivery network (managed placements). Include input validation, error handling, server-side tests for API endpoints, and basic end-to-end tests for checkout and export flows.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Build verdict base78
- 2 cited sources+1
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- Evidence score82
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
