No-code apps and databases decision

No Code Web Scraper

A capable developer can reproduce the core scraping and export features as a local Chrome extension in a few weeks, but replicating the vendor's polished UX, prebuilt recipe library, license/commerce flow, and Web Store presence is more work—so building a useful single-user replacement is realistic, but replacing the full paid product experience is partial.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • User opens page → use visual element picker to select repeating row(s) or fields → run scraper to follow pagination/infinite scroll → collect rows and images → export to CSV/JSON/Excel or download images

What it still won’t have

  • Chrome Web Store listing and 1,000+ user trust
  • Polished UX, pre-built recipes (78+), and priority support
  • Lifetime licence/key distribution and purchase flow
  • Ongoing product bug fixes and feature polish provided by vendor

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Build a Chrome extension in TypeScript (Manifest v3) with a React popup and content script. Implement: (1) a visual element picker injected into pages that highlights and selects DOM elements; (2) heuristics to auto-detect repeating list rows and allow mapping of fields to CSS/XPath selectors; (3) pagination and infinite-scroll traversal to collect results across pages; (4) local aggregation and export to CSV, JSON, and XLSX, plus bulk image download; (5) a simple licence activation UI and local storage for recipes; (6) robust error handling, permissions checks, and unit + end-to-end tests using Playwright. Out of scope: server-side crawling, paid analytics dashboard, and a hosted license storefront. Provide build instructions, tests, and a manifest ready for Chrome Web Store packaging.

How the score was reached

  • Partly verdict base52
  • 3 cited sources+3
  • Price verified on pricing page+3
  • Evidence score58

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
