Koldinfo

The visible functionality is an auth-backed web app; a single capable developer can implement and run a minimal hosted replacement in about a week using existing open-source auth projects and managed Postgres/email providers.

Open-source builds that already do this

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Koldinfo alternatives, with the arithmetic →

What a replacement has to do

  • Authenticate users, serve a simple per-user dashboard, accept sign-ups and password resets, store user accounts and basic profile data.

What it still won’t have

  • Hosted service and uptime SLAs
  • Vendor-managed backups and platform updates
  • Any proprietary server-side features or business rules not visible on the sign-in page
  • Vendor support beyond the published support email

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a simple user-centric web app for sign-up, sign-in, and a minimal per-user dashboard using Next.js (React) + PostgreSQL (managed, e.g., Supabase or self-hosted) and GoTrue or Supabase Auth for authentication. Core features in scope: email/password sign-up, email verification, sign-in with sessions/JWT, forgot-password flow with transactional email via an SMTP provider (SendGrid/Mailgun), a protected dashboard page that shows basic profile data, and an admin script to export users. Out of scope: any undocumented business logic, analytics beyond basic request logs, and third-party social login. Require HTTPS deployment (Vercel, Fly, or Docker on a VPS), environment-based configuration, server-side input validation, error handling and retries for email delivery, automated tests for auth flows, and CI for deployment.

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
