Learning and careers decision
Voltage Learning
A competent developer can build a focused interview-quiz web app (the core paid workflow) in about a week, but reproducing any proprietary curated content, brand, or instructor support the vendor may provide is not covered.

No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.
$100one-off32 h to build
$20/mo3 h/mo upkeep
No published price to break even against.
No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Serve a web app that delivers curated interview questions and quizzes, lets a user take/retake quizzes, and tracks basic progress over time.
What it still won’t have
- Proprietary curated question bank and domain-specific editorial quality
- Brand trust and any community / instructor support bundled with the product
- Any closed-source analytics or integrations provided by the vendor
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a one-user interview-prep web app using Next.js (React) for frontend, Node/Express serverless API (or Next.js API routes), and PostgreSQL (Supabase) for storage. Core features: user auth (email/magic link), question bank CRUD (admin-only), quiz-taking UI with timed/untimed modes, record quiz attempts and per-question correctness, simple progress dashboard (scores over time). Out of scope: paid billing, multi-tenant organizations, AI-generated questions. Include input validation, error handling, CI tests for API routes and DB migrations, and deployment instructions for Vercel (frontend) + Supabase (DB/auth).
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score56
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
