SyncSignature
A capable technical user can build the smallest useful replacement (template-driven HTML signatures + directory sync + auto-install + basic banner analytics) within a multi-week effort; prior open-source signature generators exist to accelerate the work, and no durable moats are evident on the product pages.

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All SyncSignature alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Create/edit a signature from templates, preview HTML, export/copy HTML or push to Google Workspace / Office 365, schedule signature banners and track clicks, and sync employee data from directory.
What it still won’t have
- Polished drag-and-drop WYSIWYG editor and large template marketplace
- Enterprise multi-workspace/agency features and whitelabeling
- Advanced workspace analytics and campaign reporting dashboards
- Priority support and SLA-backed uptime guarantees
- Polish, cross-client rendering QA across 30+ email clients
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted email-signature management service using React for the front end, Node.js + Express for the backend, PostgreSQL for storage, and Redis for short-lived jobs; deploy to a single DigitalOcean droplet (or equivalent). In scope: (1) a form-driven template renderer that produces responsive HTML signatures, (2) live desktop/mobile preview, (3) export/copy HTML and downloadable package, (4) Google Workspace (Admin SDK OAuth) and Microsoft Graph integration to auto-install signatures for a domain, (5) a scheduled banner campaign feature with short-link click tracking and basic analytics, (6) a directory sync job that imports user records via Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 APIs, (7) unit and integration tests for API endpoints and critical flows, and robust error handling and logging. Out of scope: WYSIWYG drag-and-drop editor, large template marketplace, multi-workspace agency/whitelabeling, and enterprise SLAs.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
