CRM and sales decision
Revshare.so
A competent developer can reproduce core tracking, webhook attribution, and a basic dashboard in ~40 hours using docs and open-source infra, but Revshare's populated publisher/influencer marketplace and managed payouts are durable advantages that are expensive to replicate.

No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Capture click/ref codes, persist click events, receive payment/webhook events, attribute transactions to clicks/referral codes, show basic dashboard of clicks/sales, and export payouts.
What it still won’t have
- Access to Revshare's managed publisher/influencer marketplace and 3rd‑party partner network
- Hosted discovery tools (100k+ influencer database, pre-built affiliate programs)
- Built-in managed payouts and fraud/anti-abuse operations
- Polished multi-touch analytics, SEO spy, and pre-built integrations catalogue
- Support, uptime SLAs, and UI polish of the hosted product
What remains hard

Runnable build prompt
Build a self-hosted affiliate attribution service using Next.js (frontend + tracking script), Node.js/Express or Next API routes, and Postgres (hosted on Heroku/Render/AWS RDS). Core features in scope: (1) a client JS tracking snippet that captures ?ref and creates a persistent first-party cookie and click_id; (2) a redirect endpoint that logs clicks and issues a click_id before forwarding; (3) webhook handlers for Stripe/Paddle/LemonSqueezy to accept payment events and call an internal /api/referral attribution endpoint; (4) backend attribution logic supporting last-click, first-click and simple recurring-customer rules, storing clicks, transactions, attributions and commission amounts in Postgres; (5) an admin dashboard to list clicks, pending transactions, approve/decline commissions, and export payout CSVs; (6) configuration for cookie duration, program_id, and commission rules. Out of scope: building a publisher marketplace, influencer discovery database, and automated managed payout rails. Require error handling, replay-safe webhook verification, basic unit/integration tests, and documentation for embedding the tracking script and integrating Stripe webhooks.

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
