QR-Verse
A single developer can reimplement the core: QR generation, redirects, and basic analytics using existing OSS libraries, but reproducing QR‑Verse's polished AI features, mobile app sync, team/white-label tooling, and product-grade scaling would be nontrivial—so build a focused replacement only if those advanced features aren't required.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All QR-Verse alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Generate a QR (SVG/PNG) → host a short redirect for dynamic QR → collect and store scan events (IP, user-agent, referrer) → show analytics dashboard and allow edits to redirect → optionally call an AI art service to style QR.
What it still won’t have
- Polished, productized AI chat assistant and credit system
- Mobile app sync and cross-device account polish
- White-label, bulk-generation, and team management UI at Business/Enterprise quality
- Proven scale, SLA, and fraud/abuse protections of the hosted product
- Built-in GDPR/legal assurances and payment integration already handled
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted QR service using Node.js (Express) + PostgreSQL + Redis, React dashboard. Core features in scope: (1) generate QR codes as SVG/PNG with logo overlay using soldair/node-qrcode, (2) create short redirect URLs stored in Postgres, (3) ingest scan events via redirect endpoint and store events with timestamp, IP, and user-agent, (4) enrich events with IP->country+city lookups (use a paid geolocation API), (5) simple React dashboard to list QR codes, edit redirect target, view time-series and country breakdown, and export CSV, (6) REST API key support for programmatic creation, (7) integrate an AI image-generation API for optional styled QR outputs. Out of scope: paid subscriptions/billing, white-label multi-domain admin, mobile app, advanced rate-limiting/anti-abuse. Include error handling for DB and network failures, request validation, basic unit tests for API endpoints, and a Docker Compose setup for local development; provide deployment notes for a single DigitalOcean droplet or managed Kubernetes and an estimate of monthly infra + API costs.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
