NoteWall-Never Forget Things
A competent technical user can build a minimal replacement that exports lock-screen wallpapers and provides Shortcuts instructions, but replicating the app's native iOS integration, automatic wallpaper updates, in-app subscription flows, and polish is impractical without an iOS-native product and App Store distribution.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. What a replacement has to do
- Generate a wallpaper image containing user notes and styling; provide a web editor for composing and arranging notes; export/download wallpaper image sized for iPhone lock screen; supply an iOS Shortcuts template and setup instructions to install the wallpaper; optional server-side storage for multiple 'walls' and translations.
What it still won’t have
- Native in-app automatic wallpaper updating that the App Store app integrates with iOS (reliant on Shortcuts/workarounds)
- Polish of an iOS-native UX (animations, localized in-app flows, in-app purchases/subscription handling)
- Built-in translations and right-to-left language polish the app advertises
- Features baked into the app (gentle morning check-ins, trial protection reminders, scheduled wallpaper changes) without additional client-side automation
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a lightweight web service (Node.js + Express, PostgreSQL, and a small S3-compatible storage) that generates iPhone lock-screen wallpaper images from user-entered notes. Core features in scope: authenticated user accounts, create/edit multiple 'walls' (lists of notes), style controls (font size, spacing, highlight boxes, background color/gradient), server-side image rendering to correct iPhone resolutions (use Puppeteer/Canvas), download/export PNG, provide a downloadable iOS Shortcuts JSON and step-by-step setup UI to apply the wallpaper as the lock screen. Out of scope: implementing App Store in-app purchases or iOS-native widgets. Require error handling, input validation, and unit tests for API endpoints and image-generation logic.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 3 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
