Scheduling and meetings decision
Meet For Slack
A competent developer can replicate the core Slack→Google Meet integration in ~24 hours and operate it cheaply; the vendor's value is mainly convenience, enterprise SLAs, and brand trust which are not hard technical barriers.

No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Receive a Slack /meet slash command, create a Google Meet (via Google APIs), post the meeting link back to the Slack thread, and update Slack status for participants.
What it still won’t have
- Approved-by-Google-and-Slack trust/brand assurance and any marketplace listing
- Enterprise-grade SLAs, priority support and custom privacy agreements
- Polish of a hosted multi-team billing UI and self-service workspace management
- Ongoing security reviews and formal third-party audits provided by vendor
What remains hard
- Brand trust
Approved by Google and Slack. You are in good hands.

Runnable build prompt
Build a small Node.js (Express) service that implements a Slack app with a /meet slash command and Google OAuth2 to create Google Meet conference links by creating Calendar events with conferenceData. Stack: Node.js, Express, SQLite (or Postgres), Slack Web API, Google APIs (OAuth2 + Calendar), deploy to a single VM or Heroku. Core features: verify Slack requests, accept /meet [name] to create a Meet and reply with the link in-channel, ensure the created meeting opens with the correct Google account by using per-host OAuth tokens, update callers' Slack status to '📞 On a call' and auto-clear it after 15 minutes, minimal workspace admin UI to connect Google account and view linked workspaces, logging and error handling, automated tests for endpoints and OAuth flows. Out of scope: obtaining "Approved by Google and Slack" marketplace listing, enterprise custom privacy/legal agreements, multi-region scalable SFU media servers. Require robust error handling, token refresh, and unit/integration tests.

How the score was reached
- Build verdict base78

- Evidence score82
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
