LowFruits

A small team could build a narrow SERP-analysis workflow (keyword import, SERP scraping, basic scoring) but reproducing LowFruits' proprietary precomputed datasets, Domain Explorer, and polished scale features would be costly and time-consuming—so building a limited replacement is realistic, cloning the full product is not.

Open-source builds that already do this

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need — the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship.

What a replacement has to do

  • Import or generate keywords → fetch SERPs for each keyword → extract top-ranking result metadata (DA, word count, title relevance, site type) → score SERP weakness and present filterable results / clusters.

What it still won’t have

  • Millions of pre-calculated SERP-scores and large precomputed datasets
  • Domain Explorer with 150K weak websites and associated proprietary data
  • Polish, scale, and integrated UX (rank-tracker, sitemap extractor, boosted finder)
  • Credits marketplace and pay-as-you-go billing integration

What remains hard

  • Proprietary dataThe Domain Explorer helps you find low competition domains, their niche, traffic, authority and more. Domain Explorer Find up to 5 times more keyword ideas with the boosted Keyword Finder. Boosted keyword finder Access millions of pre-cal

Runnable build prompt

Build a minimal self-hosted SERP analysis web app using Node.js (Express), a Postgres DB, and React for the frontend. In scope: (1) an API to import/upload keyword lists and to generate keyword ideas from Google Autocomplete, (2) a configurable SERP fetcher that uses a proxy pool and rate limiting to retrieve Google SERPs, (3) parsers that extract top-10 result metadata (URL, title, snippet, word count) and store normalized records in Postgres, (4) a simple domain-metrics cache (store fetched DA/traffic/site-type from an external lookup) and a scoring function that marks SERP weakness, (5) a React UI showing filterable results, basic clustering, and credit-usage accounting. Out of scope: building a large precomputed dataset (millions of SERP-scores), a paid billing gateway, advanced rank-tracking dashboards, and premium UX polish. Include error handling for network/proxy failures, retries, input validation, and unit tests for the scraper/parsers and scoring logic.

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time — so the same evidence always produces the same number.
