Launch Panda

A focused self-hosted tool that saves profiles, recommends directories, and helps copy/paste submissions is realistic for one developer to build and maintain, but the commercial value of LaunchPanda's paid Auto Launch, hand-curated scale, and managed service is not fully reproducible by this replacement.

Open-source builds that already do this

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Launch Panda alternatives, with the arithmetic →

What a replacement has to do

  • Save a startup profile, match it to relevant directories, copy/paste or autofill submission fields, track completed submissions, and expose a simple badge of featured directories.

What it still won’t have

  • Paid Auto Launch (done-for-you submissions to 30/50/100 directories).
  • Hand-curated directory sourcing and ongoing curation at the same scale (266+ list maintained).
  • Polished Chrome extension and clickless multi-directory autofill experience.
  • Money-back guarantee and managed refund/reversion of submissions.

What remains hard

  • Proprietary dataForever access to an ever-growing , hand-curated list of directories (266+ today)

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a lightweight LaunchPanda clone as a single-developer web app using Next.js (React) + SQLite (serverless) hosted on Vercel, and optionally a small Chrome extension. In scope: (1) a client-side signup (OAuth optional) and persistent startup profile storage, (2) importable directory dataset and a simple matching algorithm, (3) directory list UI with templated copy-to-clipboard per-directory fields and ability to mark progress, (4) a JSON badge API endpoint to return featured directories for an embed, (5) an optional Chrome extension or embeddable JS snippet that pastes saved fields into an opened directory form. Out of scope: paid Auto Launch (server-side form submissions to external sites), managed refunds, commercial-grade scaling and enterprise features. Include error handling for network and persistence failures, unit tests for matching logic, and end-to-end tests for the copy/fill flow.

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
