Design and diagrams decision

Landingfolio

A single developer can build a pared-down inspiration gallery with search, downloads and payments, but cannot cheaply reproduce Landingfolio's curated scale, bundled commercial templates/licensing, or their MCP AI integration.

You pay

Not priced

No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

You’d pay instead

$100one-off56 h to build

$80/mo3 h/mo upkeep

No published price to break even against.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • Browse curated landing pages, search & filter designs, view component/template details, download component code/assets.

What it still won’t have

  • The curated scale and breadth of Landingfolio's paid library (hundreds of components and premium templates)
  • Commercial licensing bundled with the one-time Forever access product
  • Their MCP server and built-in MCP AI agent integration ('1,000 MCP requests a day for your AI agents')
  • Ad-free browsing and product-brand trust/reach

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a minimal Landingfolio-style inspiration site using Next.js (app router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Postgres (hosted via Supabase), Meilisearch for search, and Vercel for hosting. In scope: ingestion script to import/scrape entries (metadata + screenshot), API endpoints to list/search/filter gallery items, thumbnail generation and storage in Supabase Storage, a responsive Next.js frontend with gallery pages and detail pages, Stripe checkout for a single paid access tier, and basic user accounts to track purchases. Out of scope: a marketplace for third-party premium templates, training or hosting custom AI models, and a large pre-curated dataset. Require: error handling for failed ingests and payments, server-side and unit tests for ingestion, API, and payment flows, and CI setup to run tests and deploy.

How the score was reached

  • Partly verdict base52
  • 3 cited sources+3
  • Evidence score55

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
