Jobhuntify.com
A minimal replacement (resume tailoring, tracker, and interview coach) is realistic for a single technical person to build and maintain using existing OSS resume projects and LLM APIs; you will lose Jobhuntify’s curated job inventory, polish, and support.

No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- User uploads resume and target job description → AI analyzes and suggests tailored resume edits → user saves a resume version to vault → user tracks application status and upcoming interviews → AI mock-interviewer / prep generates practice questions and suggested answers.
What it still won’t have
- Access to Jobhuntify’s verified job board listings and any proprietary job inventory
- Polished UI/UX, branding and product polish
- Priority customer support and managed uptime
- Any proprietary analytics derived from their aggregated user data and benchmarks
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a lightweight Jobhuntify replacement as a web app using Next.js (React) + PostgreSQL + Prisma + Node backend, deploy on Vercel (frontend) and Railway or Supabase (Postgres + jobs). Core features in scope: 1) user auth and file uploads for resumes (S3-compatible storage), 2) text extraction from uploaded resumes (use libreoffice/textract or npm parser), 3) resume vs job-description scoring and tailored edit suggestions via an LLM (OpenAI API), 4) resume versioning CRUD stored in Postgres, 5) simple job-application tracker with stages, notes, and scheduled follow-up reminders (server cron + transactional emails via SendGrid), 6) mock-interviewer chat using the same LLM with templated prompts, 7) basic job browse/import from one public jobs RSS/API. Out of scope: building or licensing a global verified job board, geolocation map of companies, advanced analytics dashboards, and paid customer support. Include error handling, input validation, authentication tests, API integration tests, and 10 unit tests covering core business logic. Provide Dockerfile and deployment scripts, and document setup steps and required API keys.

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
