Creator and commerce decision
ievent.ro
A small team or single technical person can realistically build the core tools (search, profiles, budget calculator, invitations), but reproducing the site's value—its large verified supplier/venue dataset, local market pricing guides, and organic traffic—is hard to replace, so keeping the paid/public platform may be justified.

Not priced
No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.
$100one-off110 h to build
$0/mo3 h/mo upkeep
No published price to break even against.
No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Couple searches suppliers/locations → views supplier profile → sends booking/contact request → uses budget calculator → sends digital invitation and collects RSVPs.
What it still won’t have
- Pre-populated network of 1,000+ verified suppliers and 3,500+ venues (large dataset and brand trust).
- Aggregated market pricing and localized guides curated for Romania.
- Existing SEO/organic traffic and Google visibility driving enquiries.
- Verified-badging and any supplier vetting processes the site provides.
What remains hard
- Proprietary data
Compară 1.000+ furnizori verificați și 3.500+ locații de nuntă într-un singur loc.
- Proprietary data

First-year cost

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal wedding-planning marketplace using React for the frontend, Node.js (Express) for the API, and PostgreSQL for storage, deployed on a single managed VM (DigitalOcean/GCP). In scope: searchable supplier and venue catalog with faceted filters, supplier/location profile pages, contact/booking form that records requests and sends email via a transactional provider (SendGrid/Mailgun), a client-side budget calculator persisted per-event, a simple digital invitation page with RSVP handling, and an admin CMS to create/edit suppliers and venues. Out of scope: payments/escrow, advanced vetting workflows, multi-tenant orgs, and marketing/SEO automation. Include input validation, server-side authorization for admin routes, logging, basic tests (unit for API routes and integration for key flows), and Dockerfiles for local development and deployment.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- Hard moats found in the evidence-3
- Evidence score49
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
