SEO and marketing decision
GlobalSeo
A competent developer can build a usable self-hosted translation flow (JS injection + basic reverse-proxy and editor) in a multi-week effort, but reproducing GlobalSeo's managed reverse-proxy infrastructure, SEO-indexing cache, GDPR-hosted operations, and 24/7 managed support would be costly and operationally heavier than a narrow DIY replacement.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All GlobalSeo alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Crawl site pages, extract visible text and metadata; send text to a translation API; store and cache translated HTML; serve translations via JS injection or reverse-proxyed subdomain/subdirectory; provide a dashboard to edit and manage translations and glossary rules.
What it still won’t have
- Managed onboarding, dedicated support and hands-off DNS/subdomain setup
- Built-in reverse-proxy infrastructure and automatic SEO indexing served to search engines
- GDPR-hosting location claims (their servers in Germany)
- Preconfigured caching on Cloudflare and compressed LZ78 delivery
- Any enterprise SLA, 24/7 support and large-scale operational polish
What remains hard
- Integration maintenance
We integrate into any web based technology. Just add a small code to your website and you are ready to go.
- Compliance and regulation
GDPR Compliant All data is stored GDPR-compliant and our servers are all in Germany.

Runnable build prompt
Build a lightweight AI website-localization service in Node.js + Next.js (for dashboard) + Postgres + Redis + Nginx reverse-proxy. Core features in scope: 1) crawler that discovers pages and extracts visible text and metadata (sitemap support); 2) batched translation worker that sends context-rich requests to OpenAI and stores translations; 3) serve translations via (a) a small JS snippet that replaces DOM text client-side and (b) an Nginx reverse-proxy endpoint that fetches origin HTML, replaces text server-side and returns cached translated HTML for SEO; 4) admin dashboard to view/edit translations, manage glossaries, and count words; 5) edge caching using Cloudflare or Redis and a job to generate cached HTML snapshots. Out of scope: training custom models, enterprise SLA and managed DNS changes. Include error handling, retries, request throttling, input validation, unit tests for crawler and translation worker, and integration tests for proxyed responses.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Hard moats found in the evidence-3
- Evidence score61
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
