Customer support decision
Featurebase
Build a narrow feedback + AI-prioritization workflow yourself to avoid per-seat fees, but keep paying if you need the product's enterprise compliance, scale guarantees, polished integrations, and audited security.
Visit website↗Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need — the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship.
What a replacement has to do
- Collect feedback & tickets via widgets/inbox, store and deduplicate items, compute embeddings and score/prioritize with an LLM/embedding model, present a feedback portal and ticket inbox, notify users when items change.
What it still won’t have
- Enterprise-grade compliance and audits (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA)
- High-scale infra guarantees (sub-150ms latency, >99.9% uptime) and operational readiness
- Polished product UX, broad set of prebuilt integrations, and bundled AI resolution pricing
- Built-in migration assistants and one-click migrations from other platforms
What remains hard
- Compliance and regulation
Scale with security Featurebase is audited and certified by industry-leading third party standards. Talk to sales GDPR CCPA SOC 2
- Infrastructure at scale
Featurebase is built for scale. Our customers support millions of end-users with sub-150ms latency.

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal feedback & support platform using Next.js (frontend), Node/Express API, Postgres (Supabase optional) for storage, and a vector DB (Pinecone or Milvus) for embeddings. In scope: (1) embeddable in-app feedback widget and public feedback portal, (2) REST API to receive and store feedback/tickets, (3) background job to compute embeddings (OpenAI or compatible) and cluster/merge duplicates, (4) simple AI prioritization endpoint that returns ranked items using embeddings + LLM summary, (5) web inbox showing tickets and support threads, (6) webhook/email notification when item status changes. Out of scope: full help center product, SSO/enterprise integrations, SOC 2 audit, multi-brand enterprise features, and polished UX. Include input validation, retries for external API calls, rate limiting, logging, and unit/integration tests for core flows.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52

- Price verified on pricing page+3
- Hard moats found in the evidence-6
- Evidence score57
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time — so the same evidence always produces the same number.
