SEO and marketing decision
1footer
A technical user can build a minimal footer-sync and HTML delivery replacement, but reproducing 1Footer's SaaS polish, analytics, onboarding, and trust (the paid product) is more work and would remain missing.

No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Author and update a canonical footer -> publish changes -> deliver crawlable HTML to connected sites -> verify propagation and indexed links.
What it still won’t have
- Polished onboarding, dedicated support, and managed hosting
- Built-in analytics, performance reporting, and domain-rating boosting claims
- Reputation, brand trust, and marketplace of integrations
- Guaranteed scalability, SLAs, and fraud/abuse protections
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted footer-management service using Next.js (React) for the UI, Node.js/Express for the API, Postgres for storage, Cloudflare Workers (or Vercel) to deliver crawlable HTML footers, and Stripe for payments (optional). Core features in scope: user auth (OAuth with Google), dashboard to add/manage sites, editor for footer content/link groups, API endpoints to fetch footer HTML per site, embed script or Worker that inserts crawlable HTML on client pages, publish workflow that applies updates to connected domains, and a verification job that checks that footer URLs are served. Out of scope: advanced analytics reporting, domain-rating automation claims, large-scale multi-tenant billing, and an app marketplace. Include input validation, error handling, retries for publish jobs, and unit/integration tests for API and publish flows.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- 2 cited sources+1
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- Evidence score56
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
