Screenrat alternatives
2 open-source projects that already do this job. Free to use - not free to run, which is what the numbers on the right are for.

What you give up either way
- Polish, QA and platform-specific edge-case handling (e.g. macOS screen-capture permission quirks)
- Notarized app packaging and App Store distribution work
- Priority customer support and frictionless installer experience
- Professionally tuned 4K encoding presets and optimization for diverse hardware
An open-source project doing the core job proves a replacement is possible. It does not prove it matches Screenrat, and it does not prove anyone has run it for a month. How we decide.
