RSVP Reader - Speed Reading App alternatives
1 open-source project that already does this job. Free to use - not free to run, which is what the numbers on the right are for.
The projects
What you give up either way
- Polished native iOS UX and visual polish (Liquid Glass interface)
- Safari share extension and deep system integrations
- Camera OCR import and advanced EPUB/PDF parsing
- Pro features: training drills, achievements, detailed stats and cross-service imports (X, Reddit, Substack, etc.)
- App Store distribution, reviews, and branding
An open-source project doing the core job proves a replacement is possible. It does not prove it matches RSVP Reader - Speed Reading App, and it does not prove anyone has run it for a month. How we decide.
