Automation and integrations decision

VintHelper.app

A technical user can implement a useful subset (backups, queued reposts, Image+ and a dashboard) but reproducing the full, polished extension plus exchange/favourite network and ongoing anti-breakage maintenance is larger and depends on continuous site-specific upkeep; therefore build only a narrow replacement or keep paying.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • Automate reposting, backups, queued actions and provide a basic web dashboard with Image+ enhancements.

What it still won’t have

  • Polished browser extension with cross-browser release management and Web Store listings
  • Continuous anti-detection and DOM-change updates to keep automation working across Vinted site changes
  • Built-in Favourite Boost exchange network and community liquidity
  • Ongoing user support, in-extension tutorials and curated seller guides
  • Product polish for Image+ AI tuning and monthly quota management

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Build a minimal VintHelper replacement: implement a Chrome (and optional Firefox) extension in TypeScript (Manifest V3) plus a Node.js (Express) backend, Postgres for metadata, Redis for a job queue, and S3-compatible object storage. Core features in scope: 1) extension UI that loads the seller's wardrobe from the Vinted page, allows selecting items and enqueues repost/message/offer actions with per-item pauses and visible logs; 2) backend endpoints to save/restore cloud backups of listing JSON and images; 3) job queue worker that executes queued actions against the open browser session via the extension, with retries and per-item status; 4) a simple web dashboard showing listings, basic seller metrics (revenue, units sold, top items), and usage limits; 5) Image+ endpoint that accepts JPG/PNG, calls a third-party image-enhancement model API (configurable), stores enhanced images, and returns before/after URLs; 6) Stripe subscription integration to enforce monthly limits and plan features. Explicitly out of scope: Favourite Boost exchange network, cross-account exchange balancing, and advanced Auto Mode orchestration across multiple browser windows. Include error handling, unit and integration tests for API and worker, CI to build the extension, and deployment scripts for a single small VPS or cloud app.

How the score was reached

  • Partly verdict base52
  • 3 cited sources+3
  • 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
  • Evidence score59

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
