Websites and hosting decision

Vibecoders

A technical user can build a useful self-hosted portfolio (profile pages, analytics, GitHub/Stripe integrations) in a weekend using existing templates, but you cannot reproduce VibeCoders' claimed DR 28 dofollow backlinks, leaderboard discovery, or platform audience without running the same hosted domain and community, so keeping the paid product may be justified for that SEO and exposure benefit.

The code exists. It is not what you are paying for.

These 2 projects are real, published, and do the core job — and this page still says keep paying. What the subscription buys is content rights, and none of that ships in a repository. Fork one anyway if you want to. Go in knowing what it does not carry. What stays hard ↓ · All Vibecoders alternatives, with the arithmetic →

What a replacement has to do

  • Create a profile, add projects and metadata, publish a shareable portfolio link, view analytics for profile and project clicks.

What it still won’t have

  • Dofollow backlinks from vibecoders.bio (the claimed DR 28 domain)
  • Leaderboard and platform-wide discovery/featured placements
  • Built-in daily streaks and platform community visibility
  • Lifetime purchase model and existing user base/brand exposure

What remains hard

  • Content rightsEvery project link is a real dofollow backlink from our DR 28 domain.

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a self-hosted developer-portfolio app using Next.js + Tailwind CSS, store profile and projects in a single PostgreSQL or SQLite DB (or file-backed JSON for simplest install), and deploy to Vercel. In-scope: profile CRUD, project CRUD with tech badges and external links, one public route per profile (e.g., /u/:handle), GitHub import (OAuth read-only), optional Stripe read-only revenue display, client-side event tracking with a small server endpoint to aggregate views/clicks, and an admin analytics page showing views/clicks and traffic sources. Out of scope: providing a high-DR domain to generate dofollow backlinks, cross-user leaderboard and platform-managed discovery. Include error handling for failed imports and network errors, automated tests for API endpoints and core UI flows, and deployment docs (Vercel + domain).

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
