Analytics and monitoring decision
truthsignal.io
A technical user can build a focused tracker/dashboard for public signals in about a week, but the full hosted product with curated historical data, reliability, and legal/compliance responsibilities is not replicated by this minimal replacement.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All truthsignal.io alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Fetch public political signals, store time-series, index metadata for search, render interactive dashboard, schedule periodic collection jobs.
What it still won’t have
- Proprietary curated datasets or historical archives
- Hosted uptime, scaling, and managed backups
- Vendor support, SLAs, and legal/compliance handling
- Any proprietary models, analyses or brand trust
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal 'TruthSignal-like' tracker using Python (FastAPI) backend, Postgres DB, React frontend, and Docker. Core features in scope: scheduled collectors that fetch public posts for named targets (configurable cron jobs), normalized storage of events and metadata in Postgres, full-text search of recent items, a React dashboard showing timelines and basic charts (use Chart.js), and a simple email alerting job. Out of scope: paid API integration setup for proprietary datasets, user accounts and billing, enterprise scaling. Include error handling, retries, logging, Docker-compose for local dev, and unit + integration tests.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 3 cited sources+3
- Evidence score60
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
