Automation and integrations decision

SwiftSole

A technically capable developer can build a narrow, self-hosted sneaker monitor + checkout automation in about a week, but the full paid product's ongoing anti-bot updates, proxy network, polished mobile UX, and reliability are hard to replicate without ongoing ops and services.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • Monitor release pages, detect product availability, and automate checkout submission on Shopify/Supreme sites using a headless browser and user-provided payment details.

What it still won’t have

  • Managed, constantly-updated anti-bot/evasion strategies and rapid updates for site changes
  • Bundled proxy network and proxy management
  • Polished mobile app and curated release/raffle data feeds
  • Ongoing reliability, customer support, and any proprietary site-specific integrations

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a minimal sneaker drop automation service using Python + Playwright for browser automation, Postgres for persistence, and a small React UI. Core features in scope: (1) configurable monitors for product/release pages with selectors, (2) Playwright checkout scripts for Shopify/Supreme that fill and submit forms using stored (encrypted) payment credentials, (3) proxy support and header rotation, (4) a simple web UI to add stores/releases, start/stop tasks, and view logs, (5) logging, retries, and alerting via email. Out of scope: automated CAPTCHA solving, evasive botnet/proprietary evasion techniques, hosted multi-user SaaS deployment, and paid proxy provisioning. Include input validation, retries, error handling, unit tests for core modules, and end-to-end tests that run Playwright against a configurable test storefront.

How the score was reached

  • Partly verdict base52
  • 2 cited sources+1
  • Evidence score53

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
