Build a minimal Strava-like web service using: Postgres (+PostGIS optional), Python (FastAPI) backend, React frontend, and Leaflet with Mapbox-compatible tiles. In scope: user signup/login, upload GPX/TCX, parse and store GPS traces and metadata, compute distance/pace/elevation gain, display interactive map and metrics, simple follow/feed and privacy toggles, and a basic activity leaderboard. Out of scope: mobile native recording clients, large-scale social features (clubs/challenges), advanced training plans, and device sync. Include input validation, error handling, and unit + integration tests; provide Docker Compose for local dev and a one-click deploy manifest for a small cloud VM.
