Analytics and monitoring decision
SportsApi Pro
A small, useful subset (ingest + API for a few feeds) is realistic for one developer to build and run, but matching the paid product's full coverage, licensing, SLAs, and polished integrations is unlikely without commercial data contracts and ongoing ops.

No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

No published price to break even against.
No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Ingest live sports feeds, normalize events, store and index in a database, serve data via a REST/WebSocket API, and deliver webhooks/real-time pushes to clients.
What it still won’t have
- Broad sports coverage and licensed official data feeds
- Enterprise SLAs, uptime guarantees, and commercial support
- Historical depth, cleaned datasets, and data-quality guarantees
- Multi-sport integrations and prebuilt client SDKs
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal Real-Time Sports Data API using Node.js (TypeScript), Postgres (or TimescaleDB), and Docker; implement connectors to ingest one live sports feed (HTTP or websocket), transform incoming events into a canonical event schema, persist events with indexes, provide REST endpoints for fetching events and a WebSocket for live pushes, implement webhook delivery to subscribers, add basic authentication (API key), include automated tests for ingestion and API endpoints, error handling, and CI-based deployment to a single cloud VM. Out of scope: building or licensing wide multi-sport data vendors, advanced analytics, or SDKs for multiple languages.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- Evidence score52
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
