SimpleClean.app
A capable developer can build a useful noise-removal workflow (uploads, preview, processing, payments) in a few weeks using open-source tools, but matching the hosted product's claimed trained-model quality, scaling, and commercial polish would be hard to fully replace.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All SimpleClean.app alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Upload file → run denoising model → produce 30s preview → allow user to unlock full cleaned file (download) → dashboard for bulk uploads and subscriptions
What it still won’t have
- Claimed proprietary training dataset and any model improvements built on it
- Polish of instant in-browser preview at scale and cross-browser encoding edge-cases
- Billing, subscription commerce polish and fraud handling of the hosted product
- Brand trust, marketing reach, and existing customer base
- Likely proprietary inference optimizations and latency/throughput engineering
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal web service (Node.js + Express, PostgreSQL, S3-compatible storage, background workers with BullMQ, and a GPU-capable inference host using Docker) that accepts audio/video uploads, runs an open-source noise-removal pipeline, produces a 30-second cleaned preview for immediate streaming, and allows paid unlocks to download full cleaned files. In scope: resumable uploads, server-side processing pipeline, preview generation/encoding, simple dashboard showing job status and bulk uploads, Stripe-based payments/subscriptions, automatic deletion of files after 7 days, error handling and retries, unit tests for upload/worker/payment flows, and basic HTTPS deployment scripts (Terraform or Docker Compose). Out of scope: training new denoising models, multi-region autoscaling, enterprise SSO, mobile native apps, and marketing pages. Require tests for upload/processing/payment and graceful worker crash recovery.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
