Randomnumberapp

A capable developer can build and maintain a small, client-side random-number tool quickly; there are no durable moats on the vendor pages and nothing here requires large scale infra or proprietary data.

No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • Generate random integers from a user-set min/max with optional exclusions and uniqueness, copy or export results.

What it still won’t have

  • Branded site chrome and content (guides, lottery pages)
  • Built-in presets and curated lottery guides
  • Hosted domain and uptime management if you don't host
  • Privacy-friendly analytics integration used by the site

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a single-page web app (React + Vite, Tailwind CSS) that runs entirely in the browser and provides: (1) a form to set min, max, number count, exclusions, and a unique-results toggle; (2) secure random integer generation using the Web Crypto API with fallback to a seeded PRNG library; (3) presets for common ranges and a small set of named lottery quick-picks; (4) auxiliary tools: coin flip, dice roller (d4..d100 with batching and modifiers), password generator (configurable length and symbols), and UUID v4 batch generator; (5) copy-to-clipboard and export-as-CSV features, plus a minimal history view. Out of scope: server-side APIs, user accounts, analytics backend, and paid tiers. Include input validation, deterministic handling of impossible requests (e.g., requesting more unique numbers than available), error handling, unit tests for RNG and uniqueness logic, and end-to-end tests for core flows.

How the score was reached

  • Build verdict base78
  • 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
  • Evidence score82

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
