Analytics and monitoring decision
PROJECTEDMRR.COM
A capable developer can replicate core MRR ingestion and dashboards in ~34 hours using open-source tooling, but the vendor's value likely includes proprietary datasets, curated benchmarks, and hosted polish that are not replicated by a simple self-hosted replacement.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All PROJECTEDMRR.COM alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Ingest MRR/customer data, normalize revenue metrics, store and query time-series revenue, generate dashboards and reports, export findings for acquisition analysis.
What it still won’t have
- proprietary acquisition benchmarks and market intelligence
- any curated datasets or proprietary scoring used by the vendor
- enterprise integrations, concierge support, and hosted SLAs
- polished UX, onboarding flows, and built-in comparables
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a self-hosted minimal MRR analytics service using Next.js (React) for the frontend, Node.js for API/ETL, Postgres for storage, and Grafana for charts. Core features in scope: CSV and Stripe export ingestion, normalization into MRR/ARR/churn/cohort tables, scheduled ETL jobs to recalc metrics, a Next.js dashboard to show trend charts and export PDF/CSV reports, simple user auth (email/password), and Docker Compose deployment. Out of scope: building a marketplace, proprietary acquisition benchmarking datasets, and advanced ML scoring. Include robust error handling, unit and integration tests for ETL and API routes, and a README with deployment and backup steps.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 3 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
