Analytics and monitoring decision
Piqo Analytics
A competent developer can reproduce Piqo's core analytics, event pipeline and dashboards (several mature open-source projects exist), but matching the full hosted product (polished real-time UX, multi-provider revenue stitching, Ask AI at scale, managed EU hosting and SLAs) is more work and operationally heavier than a minimal self-hosted replacement.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Piqo Analytics alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Collect pageviews and click events via a small JS tracker → ingest and dedupe events server-side → stitch payment events back to visitor IDs via Stripe/Paddle APIs → store events in a columnar store → run queries/aggregations for dashboards and simple natural-language answers.
What it still won’t have
- Polished live visitor map and instant real-time UX at scale
- Built-in, tuned revenue-attribution workflows and multi-provider stitching as shipped
- Hosted EU data option and SLA-grade hosting
- Polished Ask AI with automatic insight digests and built-in prompts
What remains hard
- Brand trust
Privacy-first analytics, built in the open.

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a self-hosted privacy-first web analytics service using: Next.js + React dashboard, ClickHouse (or Postgres+materialized views) for event storage, a small Node/Express ingestion API, and a 1KB tracker script served from a CDN subdomain. In scope: JS tracker (auto-capture clicks, pageviews), ingestion endpoint (dedupe, bot detection, daily-rotating hashed visitor IDs), Stripe/Paddle webhook consumer that links payments to visitor IDs, aggregation queries for channels/pages/funnels, a real-time visitor list (WebSocket), CSV export, and a simple 'Ask AI' endpoint that runs parameterized aggregations and calls an external LLM (configurable API key). Out of scope: multi-tenant billing UI, EU-hosting managed plan, advanced ML insights. Include error handling, request validation, webhook signature verification, tests for ingestion and stitching, and deployment scripts (Docker + Docker Compose or Terraform for cloud).
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- Evidence score63
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
