Build a single-developer replacement for Paprika using Electron (desktop) + React, a Node.js/Express API, and Postgres (or SQLite for local-only). In scope: recipe CRUD with image attachments, a bookmarklet/paste importer that scrapes recipe pages (use schema.org Recipe + fallback heuristics), a grocery list generator that groups ingredients by aisle and sums quantities, a calendar-based meal planner that links recipes to days and exports grocery lists, and an optional cloud sync backend using Firebase or a small Heroku/Render service with Postgres for syncing records and attachments. Out of scope: mobile native apps, App Store packaging, and advanced UI polish. Include error handling for failed imports, duplicate detection, and attachment sync conflicts; include automated unit tests for scraper and grocery aggregation and an end-to-end test for import→plan→grocery flow.
