Analytics and monitoring decision
Maze
A capable developer can build a usable in-product prompt system and dashboard in a week, but you cannot realistically reproduce Maze’s pooled panel, SOC 2 compliance, or enterprise AI/reporting features without significant additional investment.

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Show a small prompt in a customer webpage, capture responses, store them, and surface results in a simple dashboard.
What it still won’t have
- Access to Maze’s pooled panel of millions of participants for paid recruitment
- Enterprise-grade compliance attestation (e.g., SOC 2 Type II) and associated assurances
- Maze AI automated reports, transcripts, and built-in AI study builder
- Deep integrations and recruitment/participant-management features advertised as platform-wide
What remains hard
- Marketplace liquidity
Instantly tap into our panel of over 6 million participants or connect with your own community.
- Compliance and regulation
We’re SOC 2 Type II certified—so you can focus on unlocking insights without worrying about your data protection.

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal in-product prompts service using Next.js (React) for the dashboard and a small embeddable JS snippet, Node.js + Express for the API, and Postgres (hosted on Supabase) for storage. In scope: snippet that triggers prompts by URL pattern, configurable prompt templates (NPS/CSAT/screener), server endpoints to receive responses, storage schema for prompts/exposures/answers, a dashboard to create prompts, view/filter responses, and CSV export. Out of scope: participant recruitment marketplace, SOC2 compliance audit, advanced AI analysis. Include error handling, input validation, basic auth for the dashboard, and automated tests for API endpoints and UI flows.

How the score was reached
- Pay verdict base20
- 3 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Hard moats found in the evidence-6
- Evidence score21
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time — so the same evidence always produces the same number.
