Health, home and travel decision
imposter․ai
A compact single-device pass-the-phone version with AI category generation is realistic for one developer in about a week, but the full paid product (online multiplayer, curated premium library, App Store traction and polish) would be harder to reproduce alone.

No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

No published price to break even against.
No open-source build does this yet
Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.
What a replacement has to do
- Players scan to see a secret word (one player is the Imposter who sees nothing); everyone gives one-word clues; players vote to find the Imposter. Optional AI generates new categories on demand.
What it still won’t have
- Polished App Store distribution and existing active user base
- Built-in online multiplayer/link-based games (no accounts)
- Curated premium category library and subscription management
- Polish, animations, and extensive QA across device sizes
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal pass-the-phone Imposter-style iOS app using React Native (Expo) and a Node.js server only for optional LLM proxy. In scope: local single-device gameplay for 3–12 players (lobby, per-player reveal with tap/fingerprint animation, one-word clue input, voting and reveal), category picker with rotating free categories stored in SQLite on-device, AI-powered category generation via OpenAI-compatible API (server proxies keys), in-app settings and basic analytics. Out of scope: online multiplayer session links, subscription billing, App Store submission. Include error handling for network/LLM failures, unit tests for game logic, and CI to build iOS binaries.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score56
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
