Writing and content decision
Humanizer PRO
A single capable developer can reproduce the core Humanizer PRO workflow (editable rewrite with modes and an optional score) in a week using existing open-source plugins and an LLM; the commercial product's polish, billing, and docs are the main things you'd forgo.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Humanizer PRO alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Paste a draft (≤300 words) → select Stealth/Academic/SEO mode → send text to an LLM to produce a rewrite → show editable before/after diff and optional AI-score → user edits and copies the result
What it still won’t have
- Polished, branded UI and documentation (Humanizer PRO polish and resources)
- Built-in account plans, managed word allowances and billing
- Any proprietary tuning and prebuilt mode copy from Humanizer PRO
- Integrated resource hub, guides, and curated detector comparisons
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal Humanizer-style web app using Node.js + Express backend, a React frontend, and Postgres for lightweight user records. Core features in scope: (1) paste text input (limit 300 words) and select one of three modes (Stealth, Academic, SEO); (2) call an external LLM (OpenAI-compatible) with mode-specific prompt templates to produce a rewritten draft; (3) show editable side-by-side before/after with line-level diffs and an option to copy/save; (4) implement a simple AI-score endpoint using a small detector or heuristic; (5) enforce a free 300-word-per-request limit and basic email/password sign-up. Out of scope: payment/billing, multi-user teams, CMS integrations, SERP or keyword research. Include error handling, input validation, and unit/integration tests for the LLM call and diff rendering.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Build verdict base78
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- Evidence score86
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
