Project and task management decision
GuildManager
A capable developer can build core scheduling, Discord sync, attendance, recruitment, and loot workflows, but reproducing the hosted polish, multi-tier billing, long-term audit retention, and vendor support is costly—so build a narrow self-hosted replacement for core workflows, but keep paying for the full hosted product if you need production reliability and vendor services.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All GuildManager alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Members view schedule -> officers create activities and set role caps -> members RSVP -> attendance collected via Discord voice/pin/officer check-in -> loot distributed/recorded -> Discord roles and reminders synced
What it still won’t have
- Polish and UX refinements (onboarding, guided setup, calendar polish)
- Hosted uptime, backups, and professional support
- Built-in billing and tiered storage/usage limits
- Longer audit log retention and SLAs
- Priority Discord support and onboarding assistance available from vendor tiers and concierge services (Mythic/Elite features listed on pricing page are vendor services)
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a self-hosted GuildManager clone using: React frontend, Node (Express) backend, Postgres, Redis (jobs), and a Discord bot (discord.js). Core features in scope: Discord OAuth and role sync; event scheduling with recurring rules, role capacity, waitlist and calendar view; RSVP and attendance capture (voice/pin/manual) with per-event participation history; loot auction/roll flows with DKP/priority accounting and outcome recording; recruitment application form and officer review workflow; audit log and CSV/JSON export; basic onboarding flow and granular officer permissions. Out of scope: payment/billing UI, multi-guild paid tiers, built-in AI agent features. Include error handling, input validation, background jobs for reminders, unit and integration tests, Docker compose for local deployment, and deployment scripts for a single VPS and managed Postgres.

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
