Gestor de Certificados

A competent developer can build the core local certificate finder, notifier, and shortcuts in about a week, but reproducing the vendor polish, installers, licensing, and support that justify the paid product is more work and ongoing cost.

Open-source builds that already do this

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Gestor de Certificados alternatives, with the arithmetic →

What a replacement has to do

  • Scan local OS certificate stores, index certificates, show/filter list, surface expiry warnings and quick-launch links, persist shortcuts locally.

What it still won’t have

  • Commercial polish of installers and cross-platform packaging
  • License management, payment processing and automated renewals
  • Professional customer support and documentation
  • Localization and marketing
  • Legal and company-backed warranty/updates guarantee

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Not run yet
Build a cross-platform desktop certificate manager using Tauri (Rust) + a lightweight frontend (Svelte or React). Core features in scope: scan and parse OS certificate stores on Windows and macOS, index certificates into a local SQLite DB, searchable/filterable list and certificate detail view, scheduled expiry checks with native notifications, user-managed quick-launch shortcuts that open a URL and (optionally) select the certificate, local persistence of settings and shortcuts, and cross-platform packaging producing an MSI and a DMG. Out of scope: paid license server, Stripe payment integration, multi-user sync/cloud backups. Include error handling, background job retry for the expiry checker, automated tests for parsing and DB logic, and CI to produce installers.

How the score was reached

  • Partly verdict base52
  • An open-source build was found+5
  • 3 cited sources+3
  • 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
  • Evidence score64

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
