Analytics and monitoring decision

Formo

A capable developer can build a narrow self-hosted onchain analytics workflow (event capture, indexer enrichment, attribution, dashboards) but reproducing Formo’s cross-chain indexing, identity stitching, managed integrations, Ask-AI features, and enterprise polish would be costly and operationally heavy; keep paying for full product for those capabilities.

No open-source build does this yet

Nothing published replaces this one, so a replacement starts from an empty file. Here is what it would have to cover.

What a replacement has to do

  • Collect web + wallet events, enrich with onchain transactions, join offchain visits to onchain addresses, store events for fast queries, present charts/funnels and simple segmentation UI.

What it still won’t have

  • Managed cross-chain indexing and scale optimizations
  • Pre-built wallet identity stitching and enrichment (labels, socials)
  • Integrated MCP / Ask AI features and hosted LLM connections
  • Enterprise SLAs, support, and volume discounts
  • Out-of-the-box token-gated forms and social verification integrations

What remains hard

  • Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt

Build a minimal self-hosted onchain analytics service using: Node.js + Express for ingestion, Ethers.js and an indexer API (Alchemy/QuickNode) for onchain data, Postgres (+ ClickHouse if available) for event storage, and a React + Vite dashboard. In scope: client SDK to capture page visits, UTM parameters and wallet-connect events; server endpoints to receive events and enqueue onchain enrichment jobs; jobs that fetch and parse transactions/contract events and join them to captured addresses; an attribution engine implementing UTM parsing and simple heuristics to link visits → wallets → conversions; API endpoints for funnels, cohorts and simple segmentation; a dashboard showing realtime events, funnels, cohort retention and export CSV. Out of scope: full enterprise SSO, SLA support, large-scale cross-chain indexer implementation, hosted LLM/Ask-AI integration, and managed token-gated form builder. Include error handling, retries for indexer calls, unit and integration tests, and deployment manifests (Docker + docker-compose or Kubernetes).

The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
