ExactMRR
A technical user can build the public leaderboard and submission/aggregation features, but cannot easily reproduce the product's claimed verified dataset and brand trust that give it durable value.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All ExactMRR alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Collect submitted or scraped startup revenue data → verify and normalize entries → compute MRR/time-window aggregates → show leaderboard and per-startup pages → allow admin verification and corrections.
What it still won’t have
- The existing 'verified' dataset and historical coverage
- Brand-trust and public recognition of ExactMRR
- Any community, traffic and network of contributors that supply data
- Operational moderation, fraud detection rules and reputation signals
What remains hard
- Proprietary data
The trusted source for verified startup MRR
- Brand trust

Runnable build prompt
Build a lightweight ExactMRR replacement as a Next.js (React) + Node API + Postgres app deployed to a single VPS or managed service. Core features in scope: (1) public leaderboard and paginated startup pages showing All-time Sales, Last 30 days, and estimated MRR; (2) authenticated admin UI to review and mark revenue submissions verified/flagged; (3) a public submission form/API to submit revenue events with optional evidence links/files; (4) background worker (Node + BullMQ or simple cron) to normalize events and compute rolling MRR aggregates and store them in Postgres; (5) basic search and filtering for startup name and MRR range; (6) scheduled daily data refresh and an audit log of verification actions. Out of scope: payment processing, paid tiers, advanced fraud-detection ML, or building a community portal. Require robust error handling, input validation, server-side tests (unit + integration for API endpoints), and automated DB migrations; include docker-compose manifests and a simple deployment README.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 4 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Hard moats found in the evidence-3
- Evidence score61
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
