Writing and content decision
Buffer
A technically capable user can build a narrow replacement for scheduling and publishing to one platform, but Buffer's reliability, large integration catalogue, polished collaboration features, and brand/scale advantages make a full replacement costly to reproduce.

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. What a replacement has to do
- Allow a user to connect social accounts, create and schedule posts, persist drafts/queue in a database, and publish posts at scheduled times via platform APIs; provide a basic calendar/queue UI and simple analytics on post status and engagement.
What it still won’t have
- Breadth of built-in integrations (multi-platform coverage)
- 99% post reliability / enterprise-grade delivery guarantees
- World-class distributed customer support coverage
- Advanced analytics, reporting, and long-term data history
- Polished team collaboration, approval workflows, and permissions
What remains hard
- Infrastructure at scale
99% post reliability
- Brand trust

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal self-hosted social post scheduler using Node.js (Express), Postgres, Redis (for job queue), React for the frontend, and a background worker (BullMQ). Core features in scope: OAuth login and token storage for one social platform, post composer with image upload, scheduling and queueing posts, background worker to deliver posts to the platform API and record status, calendar/queue UI, basic per-post engagement counters, error handling and retry logic for API failures, and automated tests for API endpoints and the worker. Out of scope: multi-platform connectors beyond the single platform, advanced analytics dashboards, team/permission workflows, and paid-scaling infrastructure. Require proper error handling, retries with exponential backoff, logging, and unit/integration tests for dispatch and scheduling logic.

- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Hard moats found in the evidence-3
- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
