Automation and integrations decision
axis-labc2026
A competent developer can build a useful, narrower replacement (browser extension + small backend) but duplicating the polished extension publishing, curated workflows, and ongoing product polish would be multi-week and operationally heavier than a quick DIY — consider self-hosting established open-source marketing automation if you need broader marketing features.

Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. What a replacement has to do
- Monitor product signals (traffic, revenue, domain rating) → surface contextual product details in the browser → start AI-assisted browser tasks from the extension → persist task and product context for review.
What it still won’t have
- Chrome Web Store publishing and extension-signing polish
- Tight product UX and built-in workspace limits (prebuilt 3→15 product gating)
- Any proprietary AI prompt tuning or curated workflows Fabu includes
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

What we assumed
The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal Fabu-like service: implement a Chrome extension (React + Vite) and a small backend (Node/Express, Postgres). Core features in scope: installable extension UI that displays per-product context, OAuth/connectors for Stripe and Vercel/OpenPanel, store product records and Domain Rating snapshots in Postgres, an LLM-backed "start AI task" flow that calls OpenAI-compatible API, and a background worker (service worker) to run/pause/resume browser-native tasks and persist task results. Out of scope: multi-account billing portal, Chrome Web Store publishing automation, and a public product directory submission system. Include error handling, unit and integration tests for connectors and API routes, and automated deployment scripts (Vercel/Render).

How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- Price verified on pricing page+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score67
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
