Analytics and monitoring decision
Applausible
A capable developer can build a useful mobile companion that fetches and displays Plausible-style metrics in about one week and modest ongoing maintenance; no durable moats are evident from the provided pages so self-build is realistic.

Not priced
No pricing page we fetched carried a figure, so there is nothing to compare against. The build side is still real.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Applausible alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Authenticate to a Plausible account, fetch selected metrics, render dashboard charts, and persist credentials locally for offline viewing.
What it still won’t have
- Official app polish, branding, and ongoing UX polish
- Proprietary integrations or features the vendor may add
- App-store presence and updates handled by vendor
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance
First-year cost
No published price

The verdict above measures whether you could build it. This one is only about money.
Runnable build prompt
Build a minimal cross-platform mobile app (React Native + TypeScript, Expo) that connects to a Plausible-compatible analytics API. In scope: OAuth/token entry and secure local storage, API client with basic caching, three screens (site list, site summary with key metrics, timeseries chart), charts via react-native-chart-kit or Victory, error handling for network and auth failures, unit tests for API client and critical UI flows, and CI to build Android and iOS bundles. Out of scope: server-side hosting, multi-user account management, push notifications, and advanced visual polish. Provide automated tests, meaningful logging, and instructions to build and publish.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Build verdict base78
- An open-source build was found+5
- 3 cited sources+3
- Evidence score86
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
