Analytics and monitoring decision
Analytics Mates
A technical user can build the core GA4/GTM monitoring, rule-based diagnostics, and a Navigator-backed query assistant, but they will lose Analytics Mates' managed Signal Dispatch integrations, agency consulting, and property-level institutional memory that the company provides.

Open-source builds that already do this
Every project below is open source and already does this job today. Fork one, self-host it, or take the parts you need - the build prompt further down assumes an empty file, and this is the shortcut past that. Licences differ; check the one on each card before you ship. All Analytics Mates alternatives, with the arithmetic →
What a replacement has to do
- Continuously fetch GA4/GTM signals, detect broken or inconsistent tracking, surface ranked diagnostics and suggested fixes, and notify/alert via UI or messaging.
What it still won’t have
- Managed, scoped measurement work and on-demand senior analyst time
- Signal Dispatch production integrations and verified server-side conversions to ad platforms
- Agency-grade custom audits, case-study-backed execution, and client-portfolio services
- Proprietary property-level memory and historical compound intelligence built by Analytics Mates over time
What remains hard
- Product polish and ongoing maintenance

Runnable build prompt
Build a lightweight Measurement-Ops service in Node.js (Express) + Postgres + React single-page app. Core features: 1) OAuth connections to GA4 and GTM and scheduled fetch jobs to pull recent events and GTM container versions; 2) integrity checks (missing/duplicated events, thank-you reload detection, GCLID loss heuristics, UTM validation) that generate ranked incidents stored in Postgres; 3) a simple Navigator endpoint that sends gathered evidence to an LLM (OpenAI) and returns a diagnosis with checked-data citations; 4) web dashboard for property list, incidents, and evidence, plus Slack/email alerting; 5) basic signal dispatch stubs (server-side event forwarding) implemented as an extensible webhook deliverer. Out of scope: full managed consulting services, prebuilt connectors to specific CRMs (beyond webhook demo), and complex attribution modeling. Include error handling, retries for API calls, tests for API endpoints and integrity checks, and a Docker Compose setup for local dev and one-click deploy instructions.
How we checked
How the score was reached
- Partly verdict base52
- An open-source build was found+5
- 5 cited sources+3
- 3/3 assessment runs agreed+4
- Evidence score64
The base comes from the verdict. Everything under it is a check that either happened or did not, and each one is a fact frozen in this record rather than a judgement made at render time - so the same evidence always produces the same number.
