What you give up either way
- Polished cross-platform UX and app-store-grade polish
- Curated resort metadata and manually tuned 3D visuals
- Scale, monitoring, and operational reliability provided by a dedicated team
- Existing user reviews, brand trust, and social features maturity
An open-source project doing the core job proves a replacement is possible. It does not prove it matches SkiMap, and it does not prove anyone has run it for a month. How we decide.
